EMPLOYEE LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE

TIER 1

This type of employee has 1 or less years of experience within construction industry. May also have some trade school experience. This individual is willing to work for craftsmen to learn and assist them with tasks. This individual knows how to use basic hand tools and perform basic duties. Has knowledge of supplies and basic construction equipment and how to operate it. This type of employee requires the most supervision.

For clerical positions only this employee also possesses basic computer skills and could assist with entering data into a computer, basic record keeping, or filing.

TIER 2

This type of employee has 2 or less years of experience within the construction industry. Also may have some trade school experience. The individual knows how to use hand tools and perform general construction tasks. Can be given basic instructions and expected to perform duties. This type of employee requires less supervision.

For clerical positions only this employee is proficient with computers and is familiar with using Microsoft Office programs.

TIER 3

This type of employee has 3 + years of experience within the construction industry. They person can read and understand blueprints. This type of employee is familiar with hand tools and operating equipment, and can troubleshoot if a problem arises. This type of employee requires minimal supervision.

For clerical positions only this employee has advanced knowledge of using computers and Microsoft Office programs, and also knows basic accounting.
